Title: TCG ADDENDUM
Post by: ppn on October 04, 2015, 10:03:56 AM
Hey, vvhat about an option to discard a card from your hand? i.e. discard a card and lose 2 HP similar to passing a turn.

I've a pretty balanced custom deck, but sometimes I get a hand with a LVL 3 and LVL 4 without some 0's to balance it out and end up taking ~6 HP damage just from turn skips. I know dealing with bad hands is part of the game, but I think this would be a nice addition; as it stands I am on the fence from just removing LVL 4 cards from deck altogether because of these nightmare hands -- just not worth having them.

What about strategically discarding a level 0?

I think a better solution may be less random hand dealing, so where possible there would never be more than 1 level 3 or 4, and no more than three level 0s etc.

I think a LVL 0 drop would be a nice additional strategy // not taking a ton of damage from a forced horrible placement.

I also think a forced scripting taking away a random shuffle would really detract from a legitimate card game; would open door for some really high level card deck builds with minimal trade offs from juggling MP. The mechanic of getting a large LVL hand and properly placing it is kind of high level playing. It just sucks getting stuck with an impossible hand despite having a balanced deck...

...hence discard CMD -- and would also add an additional layer of strategy.

But Thor, you have to respect the chance factor!
