General Graal Discussion / Re: The New Plan for Trial Restrictions
« on: October 17, 2012, 06:43:33 PM »
This is just getting ridiculous.

Get all the playerworld tab server managers/development admins to start demanding server specific trial restricts, created by the local administration. Sure Stefan can ignore and silence you, but can he afford to ban every manager?

The deck manager UI would look better as a grid, maybe zoomed out for smaller cards. Scrolling through cards in sets of three is a drag.

Or if you're looking for some kind of visual indicator of the top person, why not give the top ranked PKer a unique nick color? AP color changes with PKing anyway, so it would stand to reason that the best has the best color.

I remember this being a neat feature in the past. If it's not a terribly lengthy process to readd, it could be an interesting addition. I don't know if it would necessarily secure too many more additional players, though. UN is our largest competition currently and it's biggest pull is it's events, simple as that. They have a huge (yet sloppy) overworld but 90% of the players are either in the events lobby or the spar arena.

UN is also just fun to be on. There's scattered quests and minigames, a large map with a lot to see, filled with playerhouses and levels that I personally love exploring. There's stuff to do and look at beyond events. Yes, sure, the events are the main course, but there's plenty to do and play with when you're not in events or PKing.

Classic has a card game. If there's not someone on hosting the limited variety of events, then there's only that.

Lava, your initial idea looks more along the lines of something that would work as a mini-game sort of thing, not an event. Something in a public level that players could regularly play at their own discretion, for competitive scoreboards or assorted prizes/gelats. It hardly feels like something that would work as an event - something that people wait around to be hosted and compete at.

I think it's fitting that Delteria had almost exactly what you've described in their event house. But it wasn't an event. It was just something to do while waiting. Killing time fun.

Also, for posterity;

ALSO BOW GUYS GET BONED IF THEY GET HIT WITH EITHER COLOR ARROW, WHAT BEING "BONED" ENTAILS IS idk
Marvel at my brilliance and despair. Don't marvel at my typos though.
