I like guild cards or identification that you can present to other players. Like how the 300 club trophy behaved IIRC. It would show your name, guild rank, guild banner (if you have one).

I understand what you mean by guild cards, as in like a trophy or rank belt, but this gave me another idea. Guild trading card!

Guild themed portable chairs

This would be neat too. Basically anything that already exists we can probably guild-theme it.

Unique NPCs such as Bat Form or some other kind of Form
Maybe extra permaclothes or beer slots to anyone who is a member of the guild

Due to the fact that a couple of the Guild Prizes are not applicable without Mod Fort being activated, I'm looking to implement some other new prizes for Guild Points to be spent on. Feel free to post ideas here.

Here's a bunch of spitball ideas off the top of my head.
  • Guild Ganis
  • Custom Guild Bow/Bomb
  • Custom Guild Mount
  • Re-implement Guild Houses

If I think of any more I'll just add them to my post.
Also, to anyone who thinks their idea is stupid, post it anyway. Stupid ideas can become good ideas with more thought.

Wait, so um...when does the fort actually open up?

This is something else that oughta be on the table, I'm pretty sure it's just staff that are able to open it, or it can have scheduled openings. If Thor would schedule it to open at a certain time, say, once or twice a month, Rommiel and Ventrue would make it a big event. It would definitely be a good way to make use of some of the abandoned content.

For those who have not noticed there is a system in place where Guilds can unlock certain perks. These can all be seen here:

However the only way at current to obtain Guild Points is through Mod Fort, which is not utilized as it requires a larger number of players around the clock to work as intended. I am therefore contemplating to award Guild Points to those who top the various Rank lists each month who are attached to a Competitive guild.

We've been talking about the first event in the Rommiel vs. Ventrue thing being an allstar spar tournament, both guilds will choose teams and the general public will be allowed to watch it. It'll also be videoed. Is this something that could be considered a competitive guild event, and be awarded guild points for?

So this was another idea I had the brief time I was working on UN - the inspiration is Saltybet. Saltybet is a website that uses the fighting game/fighting game engine "Mugen" to let people gamble on matches between AI controlled characters. What makes it interesting is that Mugen is a unique engine that allows for custom made characters - not just appearance, but entirely player made moves and attacks and properties. Thus in Saltybet, unless you've seen the character before, you're betting on a mystery.


How this ties into Graal, is this. An underground "fight club" looking level, meant to look dark, dank, and out of the way. In sewers, perhaps? Here, players would gather to bet on periodic fights between NPC baddies. The baddies would be randomly generated from several templates. Their appearance would be assembled from an assortment of baddy "part" graphics (head, body, arms, weapon appearance, etc). Their attacks would be based on loadouts (sword/shield, archer, bomb, firearrow/dragon, etc). The way they fight would be based on a personality (brave ones would be more likely to try and corner another baddy, cowardly ones would often flee with their back to the other, strategic ones would flee backwards, etc). Occasionally "top tier" baddies would be thrown in, with preset appearance/attacks/AI to represent a player, a major NPC character, or just a gimmicked enemy. I don't know how feasible this would be here, but scripters on UN suggested that this kind of AI vs AI battling was doable.

Anyway, it's nothing that would make an impact on the game now, but maybe in the future something like this could give players something to do independent of questing or hosted events.

Bumping an old thread because I like the idea.
This would be really cool and quite entertaining to have, just to pass the time. As for the currency, you could just have chips that you can buy with gelats. Not sure what they could be used for though, if anything.

is this strictly tiling or will you be introducing new concepts via scripts?

I think it would be neat to have a maze like level set underwater where the players have to swim around using the arrow keys, pressing A to get sort of a dash swim to close in on a player.

Just tiling. Don't think anyone's interested in doing new scripts right now.

Events / LMS Level Ideas

I'm going to be making one or two new LMS levels. Post suggestions in this thread. Examples: Jungle LMS, Graal City LMS, etc...
So far the ideas I've come up with are:
  • Bowser's Castle LMS (Would have to be named differently, but it'll be a castle level loosely based on the end room of Bowser's castle with the bridge over the lava.)
  • Underwater LMS
  • The Caves LMS

All ideas are welcome!

This was a sort of Team LMS PK that Delteria and NPulse had, and UN had a variant of.

Players divided into two or more teams, usually randomly but that's not important. Everyone is set to .5 hp, and that's it. The team with the last player left wins. Usually it's played with just swords, but NPCs or throwable objects work too.

With a lot of players this could take some time, but with just a few it goes by quick, so I'd say with bigger groups to just have one round, but that's just my take. First team to three wins sounds decent too, to prevent it just being a quick tix event.

Ranger hosted it today in the allstar spar room, problem is that that is spar only so no NPCs

Not sure if this is correct or not, but couldn't GCs just give everyone in a normal LMS game 0.5hp?

To add a bit of spice to the community, Rommiel and Ventrue have decided to renew their rivalry.
Both guilds are working on building an active roster, with Basi at the helm of Rommiel and Spyke at the helm of Ventrue.
We will be doing guild wars, sparring tournaments, and other competitive activities.
