Alright, first set up a basement in the card shop.
Then set up tables that allow people to play variations of the card game with no effect on score.

Some examples:
3 and 4 ways
First to 0 HP wins
4x4 grid(cards may or may not last longer)
side warp(a card on the left side can be attacked by a card on the right side, vise versa and works the same vertically as well)

Lava, you initial idea looks more along the lines of something that would work as a mini-game sort of thing, not an event. Something in a public level that players could regularly play at their own discretion, for competitive scoreboards or assorted prizes/gelats. It hardly feels like something that would work as an event - something that people wait around to be hosted and compete at.


I think it's fitting that Delteria had almost exactly what you've described in their event house. But it wasn't an event. It was just something to do while waiting. Killing time fun.
Thor wants it to be like that, I want it to be an event.
I see no reason it can't be both a mini-game and an event so long as they are at the very least somewhat different.

Yeah but iclassic and classic's communities are far different.  Classic's players (i think) would actually be interested in this kind of event where it requires actual skill (as opposed to luck like whackanoob).  Maybe some sorta event where everyone takes turns shooting at the targets, or you can alternate for a free for all shoot fest, idk.
An option to either take turns shooting or have a free for all shoot fest?

im going to have to agree with thor. i wouldn't play it. sorry but after watching iclassic's archery game, shooting at moving targets frusterates me.  :(
Fortunately they won't really be so much moving as popping up and down.
I'm thinking a tightly compacted whack-a-noob holes where the big and small targets would pop in and out from.
They won't be perfectly lined up in a grid either.

yeah. people are dicks and won't join events they don't like.
Its reasonable to not to play an event you don't like.

the don't play thing actually happens though. you won't see any players coming into certain events. while everyone comes for ctf, kotm, battlegrounds.
It was a joke.
Besides, I have had people tell me how they won't join battlegrounds and certain CTF maps.

What the first couple days after Classics release showed me was that classic has no problem getting players to come on;
But it does have issues keeping them around on the long term.
I made this thread to brain storms ways to change this.

So any ideas?

I remember back on old classic there was some sort of warp building that had you dial in a number
and it would take you to what I assumed were player made levels.

There would be a system like this,
all guilds no matter how big/small/failing/successful they are would be allowed to have 1 and only 1 warp to their guild house.

Then there would be various empty guild houses build all over the place.
Two or Three times a year there would be a large multi-event contest that takes place over the course of a couple days.
At the end there will be an overall ranking of how well all the guilds did.
Then the guilds would pick which guild house they wanted in order of what rank they came in.
The link in the warp house would be moved to the guilds chosen guild house.

The contest would have staple events that are done every contest and a couple rotational ones.
The events would be stuff like...
tag team spars, chat LMS, archery, bombing, tag idling SD, some sort of race that requires teamwork to progress in it, ect...

Most of them would require very high cooperation,
for example in the FFA event where each guild would sent 4 players in a rather small room with every other 4 players each guild sent;
you would be able to hit your own guild members so you would have to synchronize yourself with your guild mates so you don't end up hitting them.

I ask that the little water paths in sumoallstar be deleted.
(As shown in the pic)

They add nothing to the event but give a place to just stand around and spam attacks.

   I noticed many servers added the event chance.
   I always disliked the event but the thing that ticked me off the most about it was that it was 100% luck based, nothing the player does can alter the results.
   So I spent 10 minutes on how it could be improved, this is the result...

That's the point of chance, isn't it? Its all based on luck.... hence the name chance
Doesn't mean I can't dislike it.
